A: HotStone is now free! We are now ad supported, so you can play through the entire adventure now. Enjoy! To play without ads, you may purchase the game.

Q: Do I need an internet connection to play HotStone?

A: No, but you’ll need one to buy map packs or comic pages or to share a achievement badges on Facebook.

Q: I bought the game or comic book, but I deleted HotStone from my phone. How do I get them back?"

A1: On Apple devices:
Make sure you are connected to the internet.
Return to the Main Menu.
Click ‘Options.’
Scroll down and click ‘Restore Purchases.’
In a few moments, your purchases should be restored.
A2: On Android devices:
Make sure you are connected to the internet.
Start Hot Stone.
In a few moments, your purchases should be restored automatically.

Question 5

Q: Help! I reinstalled HotStone and all my progress has been lost!

Accepted Answer

A: Unfortunately, uninstalling HotStone deletes all your level/badge progress and relocks comic reward pages.

Q: I love your art! Is there any way I can purchase a hard copy of the comic?

Q: Can I reset my data and start over?

Accepted Answer

A: Absolutely. Just delete and reinstall the HotStone app. Please note that this will relock all comic reward pages and reset all badge progress. If you have purchased comic pages, those will be immediately available.

Q: I forgot what such-and-such tiles do. Where can I get help?

Accepted Answer

A: You can read about all of our tiles in the Tayalopedia.
From the Main Menu, tap 'Options' then 'Tayalopedia'

During level play, pause your game by tapping anywhere, then “Options,” then “Tayalopedia.”

Q: How do I earn Secret Levels? For that matter, what is a Secret Level?"

Accepted Answer

A: Secret Levels offer additional challenges and fun! A Secret Level marker will appear on a side path with a number above it. You must beat all the levels up to that path and collect that number of eyes before you can play it.

Q: Wait... what are eyes, and how do I collect them?"

Accepted Answer

Eyes are our skills reward system. The Tayal people weave diamonds into their designs that symbolize harmony with ancestors and Gaga (tribal values).
 
It is possible to earn three eyes on every Hot Stone level. You earn one when you:
Beat a level the first time.
Beat it using less tiles than the low tile goal.
Beat it under the time limit.

Q: I wish I could make levels of my own. Can we do that, pretty please?"

A: It is very possible that a level editor will be coming in the near future...

Q: I shared a badge to Facebook, but I don't see it! How can I prove my skills to the world? (on desktop)"

A: On desktop: 
Go here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
Hover over the Hotstone icon, then click the Pencil icon (it will say "Edit Settings.")

At the top of the next popup will be "App Visibility and Post Audience." Choose Public or Friends to share Hotstone badges with others.

Q: I shared a badge to Facebook, but I don't see it! How can I prove my skills to the world? (on mobile)"

Find the Hotstone app on the list. Click on it, and it will show "Visibility of app."
Choose Public or Friends to share Hotstone badges with others.

Question 14

Q: Hotstone seems to be frozen. How do I restart?

Accepted Answer

A1: On iOS:
Press your Home button (the black circle near your phone's charging port).
Next, double click the Home button, and you will see a series of windows with all of your open apps, like a stack of cards.
Swipe the Hotstone app up and off your screen to force quit the app.
You can now restart Hotstone.
A2: On Android:
Click the square button on the bottom of the screen.
You should now see a scrolling set of cards, one for every app you have open.
Click the X at the top right of its card or swipe it right to quit the app. 
You can now restart Hotstone.
